Meet Representative Kurt Huffman

Kurt Huffman is your State Representative for House District 43, representing Highlands Ranch. After being appointed to the position by a vacancy committee in June 2022, he is running for re-election this November.

For Kurt, this race is personal. As a small business owner, he understands first-hand the daily struggles accompanying an entrepreneur’s dream. As a student with a learning disability, Kurt watched his parents struggle to receive help in the maze of red tape and pitfalls within our educational system. As a cancer patient, Kurt fought to keep his rights and choices open as he dealt with the complex web of the medical and insurance systems. And as a community member, Kurt has watched as the government has silenced the voices of Coloradans across the state through fear, intentional misinformation, and endless emergency orders.

Kurt is running to continue serving as your Republican State Representative for House District 43 because Highlands Ranch deserves a passionate and effective advocate for our community in the State Capital. Vote for Kurt on Election Day - Tuesday, November 8, 2022!

Why I’m Running

As your current State Representative, Kurt is focused on three key areas: 

Economy

  • Stopping inflation from crushing families

  • Fighting taxes and fees that make Colorado unaffordable

Crime

  • Supporting our police by advocating for better funding and training

  • Stopping drugs and homelessness from coming into Highlands Ranch

Education

  • Expanding school choice while fighting for adequate public school funding
